The color of this wine is brilliant, with carmine or purple shades, often with purple reflections. Its bouquet evokes violets, strawberry or blackberry with liquorice variations and wild animal accents. There are sometimes spices such as cloves. Its mouth is spicy and quite tannic in its youth, but it becomes supple and pleasant with age.
