The very image of Burgundy and the capital of its wine, Beaune attracts attention from all over the world during the Hospices wine auction. The flamboyant Hôtel-Dieu, the immense, silent cellars of the wine merchants and the winegrowing estates welcome countless visitors. Beaune also boasts one of the most extensive vineyards on the Côte. This is the Pinot Vermeil of the Dukes of Burgundy, a red wine renowned since the High Middle Ages for its youthful temperament. The Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée was instituted in 1936. See more

Type

Red

Serving temperature: 15°C
Thanks to its terroir and geographical position, this wine benefits from the finesse of a Beaune and the power of a Pommard. Its fine nose reveals notes of candied fruit and very pleasant red fruit aromas. A fresh, silky attack on the palate reveals relatively mellow tannins.
