"Les Marconnets" sont situés en haut de coteau à la pointe Nord du territoire de Beaune. Une fontaine pérenne jaillit en son milieu. "Marconnet" est dérivé de l'ancien français Marc "marais" qui est une des formes sous lesquelles se présentent les mots issus du latin tardif MARISCA "marécage".

Food & wine pairing

This Beaune 1er Cru "Les Marconnets" is distinguished by a fine structure, fine but assertive tannins, and an elegant aromatic palette blending red fruits (cherry, raspberry), floral notes (peony, violet) and a delicate woody touch.
It's an ideal match for delicate, flavorful dishes, revealing all its complexity in classic combinations of roasted or stewed meats:
Roast filet of duckling, Pinot Noir reduction, celery purée
Roast veal chop, rosemary jus and heirloom vegetables
Roast pigeon, reduced jus and candied beets
Braised beef cheek, glazed carrots and potato mousseline
Game pie, red wine sauce and wild mushrooms
Pork loin confit, black garlic and creamy polenta
Also to be enjoyed with aged soft cheeses such as : Truffled Brillat-Savarin, Chaource or Cîteaux cheeses
